Out of this kind of maelstrom of activity of trials and releases and deaths and resurrections of the little, small kinds or significant … any time the false self gives up something, it’s a death – death to something that was meaningful to it but really the only thing that is supposed to die is the false self. Resurrection occurs in this life as we have a breakthrough from our dependency on the false self or habitual misbehavior or mis-thinking.
And so the Divine Presence is happening in, through, and amidst every detail of life, so it ideally should never be left out. I think this is what is meant in Scripture by living in the house of God; the psalmist prays that he wanted to stay in. The house of God is all creation and if you’re in creation, then you’re in that atmosphere or universe or whatever you want to call it.
¿Qué es la Casa de Dios?
Lo que surge de toda esta vorágine de actividad, de pruebas y renuncias y muertes y resurrecciones de las cosas pequeñas o significativas… toda vez que el falso yo renuncia a algo es una muerte – la muerte a algo que era significativo para él, pero en realidad lo único que se supone que debe morir es el falso yo. La resurrección ocurre en esta vida cuando finalmente nos libramos de la dependencia del falso yo, o de su habitual inconducta, o de su pensamiento errado.
Así, la Divina Presencia sucede en, por medio de, y en medio de cada detalle de la vida, de tal modo que, idealmente, nunca se la debería excluir. Creo que eso es lo que se quiere decir cuando en las Escrituras se habla de habitar en la casa de Dios; el salmista ora para quedarse allí. La casa de Dios es toda la creación, y si estamos en la creación, estamos en esa atmósfera, o universo, o como quieran llamarlo
