“Help” occurs quite often in Scripture in one form or another. Betty Sue Flowers: And in life. This is one of the greatest prayers of all time, especially if it’s understood as meaning, “Give me the only help that’s real anyway, which is, your will be done.” That’s what is its primary meaning. So, just to think of what help is. Think of the levels of psychological angst or concerns that that cry might emerge from, whether it’s a word or just a movement of the heart.
