The evolutionary view of creation is different from the view that is presented in Scripture on the basis of the cosmology that existed at that time. So there’s a lot of truth contained in that cosmology, but it doesn’t satisfy the modern understanding which has vastly increased the understanding of how the immensity of the universe continues to expand and how its infinitesimal quality continues to unfold. It was only this summer, wasn’t it? that they discovered the boson which seems to be the principle of changing invisible energy into visible forms of one kind or another. But even this science is only at its beginning and the hypotheses are multiplying and the possibilities of further experiments are happening.
We’re looking at a God who is just plain different from the one that we previously conceived. There’s nothing wrong with this because God adjusts himself to our limitations.
I won’t say that what we have learned up till now is useless. It’s necessary as fundamental preparations for the human condition evolved as it has been from material sources to give it really a chance to love God more. That’s really what it amounts to.

La visión evolutiva de la creación es diferente de la visión que se presenta en las Escrituras según la cosmología existente en esa época. Hay mucho de verdad en esa cosmología, pero ya no le satisface a la mente moderna, que ha ampliado enormemente su comprensión de la manera en la que la inmensidad del universo continúa expandiéndose y de cómo su cualidad infinitesimal continúa desarrollándose. Fue justamente este verano, ¿no es así?, que descubrieron el bosón, que parece ser el principio por el que la energía invisible se convierte en formas visibles de uno u otro tipo. Pero hasta esta ciencia está todavía en sus comienzos y se multiplican las hipótesis y surgen posibilidades de nuevos experimentos.
Estamos viendo un Dios que es claramente diferente del que habíamos concebido previamente. No hay nada de malo en ello porque Dios se amolda a nuestras limitaciones.
No diré que lo que hemos aprendido hasta ahora es inútil. Ha sido necesario como preparación fundamental para que la condición humana evolucionara desde lo material y tuviera realmente la oportunidad de amar más a Dios. Eso es en realidad de lo que se trata.
