Fear is narrowing.
It turns everything in on ourselves
and the protection of the developing ego.
Whereas love is an opening to everything that exists.
And the natural tendency of the child, most children at least,
towards goodness and trust, is not helped by representing God
as hazardous, as a tyrant demanding instant obedience,
or as a policeman always on the watch to catch you
in some misdemeanor.

You have faith in God;
have faith also in me.

El Miedo No Es Útil
El miedo confina.
Todo lo reduce a nosotros mismos
y a la protección del desarrollo del ego
Mientras que el amor es una abertura a todas las cosas que existen
Y la tendencia natural del niño, al menos de casi todos los niños
hacia la bondad y la confianza no se ayuda representando a Dios
como peligroso, como un tirano que demanda obediencia instantánea
o como un policía que siempre está velando para atraparte
en algún delito.
