It might be fun if you just review sometime the levels of communication in human history, especially in the last hundred and fifty years. Just to give you a few: face-to-face communication is the basic one. Then comes writing letters, reading books, the telegram, the telephone, the TV, the DVDs, the Facebook, Twitter, the cell phone, the text. So that we’re experiencing this blast of all kinds of communication in a way that no generation ever had to face. It’s a marvelous metaphor for our relationship with God which is not static. It’s dynamic, and the Spirit is suggesting what to do in every present moment. So, that’s why we haven’t time to think of the past or the future, unless God brings it to our attention, because everything that we want is NOW. Our capacity is there. God is prepared to fill it, and we just have to go through the experience of development on each level of our humanity, culminating in living just to manifest God in whatever way we’re supposed to.
La Comunicación Y El Momento Presente
Podría ser divertido repasar alguna vez los niveles de comunicación en la historia de la humanidad, especialmente en los últimos ciento cincuenta años. Por citar unos pocos cambios: la comunicación frente a frente es la forma más básica. Luego viene el escribir cartas, leer libros, el telegrama, el teléfono, la TV, los DVDs, Facebook, Twitter, el celular, el texto… Lo que estamos experimentando es una explosión de todo tipo de comunicación de enorme magnitud, que ninguna generación anterior ha enfrentado hasta ahora. Es una maravillosa metáfora para muestra relación con Dios, que no es estática. Es dinámica, y el Espíritu nos sugiere qué hacer en cada momento presente. Es por eso que no tenemos tiempo de pensar en el pasado y en el futuro, a menos que Dios nos los traiga a nuestra atención, porque todo lo que queremos está presente AHORA. Nuestra capacidad esta allí. Dios está listo para colmarla, y nosotros solo tenemos que atravesar la experiencia de desarrollarnos en cada nivel de nuestra humanidad, que culmina en vivir simplemente para manifestar a Dios de la manera que sea que lo hagamos.
