As Teilhard says that God is present in every subatomic particle – that’s what everything is made of. So Divine Presence penetrates all that exists and everything in virtue of coming into existence is in relationship to its Source, So this is really very important for our personal relationship with Christ because it emphasizes once again the incredible closeness or nearness or openness to relationship that is not only possible but is already the fact.
Fr. Carl: The doctrine you are talking about is the Incarnation?
Fr. Thomas: The doctrine I’m talking about is God’s presence in everything that exists including, of course, in the Incarnation. But what the Incarnation does is to give to all creation this immense thrust towards transformation not just into higher states of consciousness but into God-consciousness in so far as each creature or species is capable of receiving it.
Un Inmenso Impulso Hacia la Conciencia de Dios
Como dice Teillhard, Dios está presente en cada partícula subatómica – eso de lo que todo está hecho. Por lo tanto, la Presencia Divina penetra todo lo que existe y todas las cosas en virtud de que el solo hecho de existir es estar en relación con la Fuente. Padre Carl: ¿La doctrina de la que hablas es la Encarnación?
Padre Thomas: La doctrina de la que hablo es la presencia de Dios en todo lo que existe, incluyendo, por supuesto, la Encarnación. Pero lo que hace la Encarnación es dar a toda la creación su tremendo impulso hacia la transformación, no sólo hacia estados más elevados de conciencia sino hacia la conciencia de Dios, en la medida en que cada criatura o especie pueda recibirla.
