Sr. A. Behm, I’m always appreciative when you share so vulnerably during our prayer group time. It’s clear you are a courageous and willing participant in the process. – Pamela

Dearest Carmen & Roman:  Your vibrant, affirming presence in our weekly Word of the Week prayer groups is a gift to us all, as is the overflowing gratitude that you share so freely.  We have become one family through Christ, in Christ — indeed a holy communion.

Perhaps one or both of you might feel moved to write an article about some aspect of your spiritual journey, or how it has unfolded more recently? – Pamela

James, this is sublime.  Thank you so much for sharing this.  May I re-publish this in one of the Contemplative Outreach newsletters?  If so, please email me at pamela@coutreach.org. Deep bow to you.

Dear Susan:  I, too, was in tears during this morning’s prayer group, my heart broken open with the tenderness and sweetness of human relationships.  But gratitude overflowed as well — the bittersweet surprise of these people coming to our prayer group as best thing they could think of doing with their grief.  The silence and sharing of the group is a healing balm, the “Beautiful Pool” of our current lives.  We have been graced with such a treasure and the bonds we now share are permanent and beyond time and place. – Pamela

Today we hear of self interest run amok, of a king so protective of his power that he kills babies. In contrast, we hear of the divine , embodied in a refugee child and recognized by lowly shepherds. We are given a choice. We can act out of self interest, jeopardizing all that is precious to us. Or we can trust the light, follow it through the chaos and help create a global community of compassion.

Well said, Susan.  I love the way you are able to so concisely speak wisdom nuggets.

Charlie, Susan and Friend:  Your posts uplift me and provide an infusion of Beauty and remembrance, in-between answering emails and moving through a long list of to-do’s.  Each of you are a radiation of Silence and Being.  Deep bow.
