This is what the spiritual journey in any of the great
spiritual traditions is supposed to do
– to cut off whatever you were relying on
as an adequate explanation or concept or gesture
to embody the ultimate reality.
The Ultimate Reality will not fit in any way,
shape, or form in a box,
or in a particular mode of conduct
because it’s infinite in its diversity.
And yet at the same time, it’s infinite in unity.
And this is why the Trinitarian structure
of the universe reflects the ultimate source of reality
as a trinity of relationships.

And scarce do we guess the things on earth,
and what is within our grasp we find with difficulty;
but when things are in heaven,
who can search them out?
Or who ever knew your counsel,
except you had given Wisdom
and sent your Holy Spirit
from on high?

La Trinidad y la Oración como Relación
¿Donde está Dios?
Esto es lo que, según cualquiera de las grandes tradiciones espirituales
se supone que el viaje spiritual debe producir:
la eliminación de aquello de lo que dependemos como explicación, concepto o
gesto para representar la realidad última.
La Realidad Última no puede circunscribirse a una forma determinada o a una
determinada manera de comportarse, porque es infinita en su diversidad.
Y sin embargo a la vez es infinita en su unidad.
Y eso por eso que la estructura Trinitaria del universo representa la fuente
primordial de la realidad como una trinidad de relaciones.

Trabajosamente conjeturamos lo que hay sobre la tierra,
Y con fatiga hallamos lo que está a nuestro alcance;
¿Quién, entonces, ha rastreado lo que está en los cielos?
Y ¿quién habría conocido tu voluntad
Si tú no le hubieses dado la Sabiduría
Y no le hubieses enviado de lo alto tu Espíritu Santo?
