Since Centering Prayer there is less an expectation of what life has to be. Generally, we know that we schedule our lives; we plan our lives; and those interpretations or the turns that our life takes are the things that sort of mess us up; but, with Centering Prayer and the realization that God is present in everything, there’s less of a hold on those expectations. So, there’s less startle or disappointment when things don’t go the way that I think. And this makes life more flow – more flowing. It’s as though God is present in everything and I’m waiting for God to surprise me.
La Oración Centrante y un nuevo despertar a la maravilla que es la vida
Desde que hago Oración Centrante hay menos expectativas respecto de cómo tiene que ser la vida. Generalmente sabemos que proyectamos nuestra vida, la planeamos; y esas interpretaciones, o las vueltas que da nuestra vida son lo que nos complica; pero con la Oración Centrante y la conciencia de que Dios está presente en todo, esas expectativas tienen menos poder. Así que hay menos conmoción, menos desilusión, cuando las cosas no salen como creía. Y eso hace que la vida fluya más, que sea más fluida. Es como si Dios estuviera presente en todo y yo estuviera esperando que me sorprenda.
