Through the practice of Centering Prayer I’ve become aware of a loving presence in my life. It seems to just surround me. It always seems to be there on some level. I just feel loved by this Presence and I’m assuming it’s God’s presence. I feel a lot calmer and centered as I go about my activities. I have greatly reduced amounts of stress and anxiety. I’ve been prompted – internally prompted – to quit smoking and to quit using drugs. There’s also been a significant increase in the desire to engage in service activities. I volunteer a lot more than I used to in the past before I started doing Centering Prayer. It’s just a greater amount of love and compassion and concern for people in creation I’ve noticed within myself.
Rodeado de la Presencia
Gracias a la práctica de la Oración Centrante he tomado conciencia de una presencia amorosa en mi vida. Parece rodearme. Siempre parece estar allí en algún nivel. Sencillamente me siento amado por esta presencia y supongo que es la presencia de Dios. Me siento mucho más calmado y centrado al desempeñar mis actividades. Mi nivel de stress y ansiedad han disminuido considerablemente. Se me ha inducido – internamente – a dejar de fumar y consumir drogas. Ha habido un aumento significativo en mi deseo de involucrarme en lo que tenga que ver con el servicio. Me ofrezco mucho más como voluntario de lo que solía hacerlo antes de empezar a hacer Oración Centrante. Lo que he notado en mi es un mayor caudal de amor y compasión y el hecho de que me ocupo mucho más de los demás miembros de la creación.
