I’ve been doing Centering Prayer for a number of years now. I think God has blessed me with this and somehow my soul knows. I can’t intellectualize it. I can hardly verbalize it but deep in my heart and my soul, it feels God’s love. It’s helped me to let go and to open myself to doing God’s will. And I heard a phrase one time that I think says quite well: ‘You keep the window open.’ To keep the window open, when God requires you to do something that may be difficult or stepping out of your comfort zone, it’s important to be called upon to do the right thing and help other people and to create those relationships that are important in life and I think that through Centering it’s changed me in that manner that I’m more open to God’s love and to being able to help other people. Through some mystery of God, things turn out to be okay. It doesn’t make it easy and it doesn’t make life easy but somehow God gives me the strength to go on and to move forward. The spiritual journey is hugely important to me but it’s also important to my wife, my kids, my family. I think that they would look upon me as a little bit different and I hope that they would look upon me that I’ve changed in a good way.

No puedo intelectualizarlo.
