What I’ve discovered through Centering Prayer is that the awareness of God’s love for me transforms what I do, and the way I approach other people, and the way I approach ministry. It’s helped me to realize that it is God’s work and not mine. And it’s helped me to be aware of who’s really in charge – and it’s not me! One of the intentions that I try to form every day, although I don’t do it every day, is to manifest God’s love that I’ve received in my activities, in what I say, in what I do in daily life. It doesn’t always work out that way, but I am more aware of the intention to do that. I’m very, very grateful to God and to the men and women who have taken the time and the energy to share what they’ve received as a gift and to offer that as a gift to the rest of us.
Lo que he descubierto por medio de la Oración Centrante es que la conciencia del amor que Dios tiene por mi transforma lo que hago, y la forma en la que me acerco a los demás, y la manera en la que encaro mi ministerio. Me ha ayudado a darme cuenta de que efectivamente es obra de Dios y no ¡mía! Y me ha ayudado a darme cuenta de quién está realmente a cargo – y ¡no soy yo! Una de las intenciones que trato de tener presente cada día, aunque no lo haga todos los días, es la de manifestar el amor que he recibido de Dios en mis actividades, en lo que digo, en lo que hago en mi vida diaria. No siempre resulta, pero estoy más consciente de la intención de que así suceda. Estoy muy, muy agradecido a Dios y a los hombres y mujeres que han dedicado su tiempo y la energía para compartir lo que ha recibido como un regalo y ofrecerlo como regalo para todos nosotros.
