While living in this world, God can only share or spoon-feed us or even use a kind of eye-dropper to give us just a little bit of God because, if he presented himself as he is, especially in his essence, we would just disappear into a grease spot. It would be too much, too bright a light – we would be blinded by it. And even when he does, in states of purification, turn-up the lights, they are so bright that the soul experiences darkness and absence rather than the Presence.
So, let’s take a look and see what God is doing. Now Hide and Seek is a favorite game, but he’s got a lot of others. Another is “Let’s Pretend.” Let’s Pretend means…. let’s pretend that God is close or let’s pretend that God is far away or let’s pretend that God is in some relationship with us, which is still a projection of our imagination.
Another game is “Let’s Do It Again.” In other words, think of all the processes that God does
over and over. You’d think he’d get bored.

Mientras vivamos en este mundo, Dios solo puede compartir con nosotros, o alimentarnos en pequeñas dosis, o aún usar una especie de gotero para darnos una pequeña parte de Si mismo porque, si se presentara tal como es, especialmente en su esencia, desapareceríamos fundidos en una mancha de grasa. Sería demasiado, una luz demasiado brillante – nos cegaría. Y aún cuando, en estados de purificación, prende las luces, estas son tan deslumbrantes que el alma experimenta oscuridad y ausencia en lugar de Presencia.
Así que veamos un poco que es lo que está haciendo Dios. “La escondida” es su juego preferido, pero tiene muchos otros. Por ejemplo, “Como si”. “Como si” significa… hagamos como si Dios estuviera cerca, o hagamos como si Dios estuviera lejos, o hagamos como si Dios estuviera en algún tipo de relación con nosotros, que aún es una proyección de nuestra imaginación.
Otro juego es “Hagámoslo otra vez”. En otras palabras, pensemos en todos los procesos que Dios ejecuta una y otra vez. Uno pensaría que podría aburrirse.
