Our evolution is the fact that we have in the brain three levels: the mammalian brain, then the normal brain, and a spiritual capacity to change it. So, as we respond to difficulties in childhood or frustration of our self-centered desires, that capacity changes and the brain, which is programmed even physiologically through habits is like a mountain or a mesa that is being eroded. The water comes down and it goes for where there’s a channel. So the electrical impulses from the senses then are interpreted by the brain according to the physiological structure of the synapses and all the other extraordinary capacities of the brain. The bottom line being that we have to change the battlefield, so to speak, and that’s where I suggest you may need a bulldozer to flatten the playing field or the erosion so that you can build new channels that are in line with the New Creation or the teaching of the Gospel. So, God made us this way to be growing into the art of not sinning or not missing the mark or hitting the bull’s-eye, which would be to do what the Spirit suggests in each moment spontaneously without even thinking about it.
Nuestra evolución personal
La prueba de nuestra evolución es que tenemos en el cerebro tres niveles diferentes: el cerebro mamífero, el cerebro normal, y una capacidad espiritual para cambiarlo. Al responder ante las dificultades en nuestra infancia, o ante las frustraciones de nuestros deseos egoístas, esa capacidad cambia, y el cerebro, que está programado - aun fisiológicamente - por hábitos, es como una montaña o una meseta que es erosionada. El agua fluye hacia abajo y va donde encuentra un canal, Así es con los impulsos eléctricos del cerebro, que son interpretados por éste según la estructura fisiológica de las sinapsis, y todas las otras extraordinarias capacidades del cerebro.
La conclusión es que tenemos que librar la batalla en otro campo, por así decir, y es ahí que sugiero que necesitamos una topadora para para aplanar el campo de juego - la erosión - para que podamos construir nuevos canales que estén alineados con la Nueva Creación, o con las enseñanzas del Evangelio.
Dios nos hizo de ese modo para que desarrollemos el arte de no pecar – no errar el tiro, para que podamos dar en el blanco, que sería hacer lo que sugiere el Espíritu en cada momento, espontáneamente, sin siquiera tener que pensarlo.
