The Word, remember, not only became flesh but also created everything that exists and without which nothing exists. So that means the Father then can only be found in the Son because there’s no place else that he lives. And so “no one comes to the Father except through me” is in a sense, at least, from this perspective, an obvious consequence of the relationship of the Father and Son within the Trinity. And so, there‘s no place else to find the Father except in the Son or in the Word Made Flesh in our case. So it doesn’t mean that other people are excluded because Christ as the Word has been working in the world from the beginning of time.
Nadie viene al Padre sino por el Hijo
La Palabra, recuerden, no sólo se hizo carne, sino que también creó todo lo que existe, y sin ella nada existe. Por lo tanto, eso significa que el Padre sólo puede ser encontrado en el Hijo porque no hay ningún otro lugar en donde viva. Y por eso “nadie viene al Padre sino por mi” es, en un sentido al menos, y desde esta perspectiva, una obvia consecuencia de la relación del Padre y el Hijo dentro de la Trinidad. Y por eso no hay ningún lugar donde encontrar al Padre excepto en el Hijo o en la Palabra hecha carne en nuestro caso. Eso no significa que otras personas estén excluidas, porque Cristo, como la Palabra, ha estado obrando en el mundo desde el principio de los tiempos.
