Gifts for Living
Here is where faith and belief systems interact in an important way. Belief system has brought children and young adults this far so that they are acquainted with ideas about God, even if some of them are very childish still. But if it has a practice of religion of some kind that is sufficiently well established and takes into account their emotional and developing rational life, they’re beginning to open to the spiritual dimension, especially through the symbols that religion can offer. It’s symbols rather than concepts that awaken faith, and faith itself seems to be a fairly natural, innate capacity of humans in virtue of the fact that God is actually there and that as infants they had some sense of oneness with all that exists although perhaps thoroughly forgotten.La fe y los Sistemas de Creencias
Aquí es que la fe y los sistemas de creencias interactúan de manera importante. Los sistemas de creencias han acompañado hasta aquí a niños y adultos para que se familiarizaran con ideas acerca de Dios, aunque algunas creencias aún son muy infantiles. Pero si existe una práctica religiosa de algún tipo suficientemente establecida, y que tiene en cuenta el desarrollo de su vida emocional y racional, comienzan a abrirse a una dimensión espiritual, especialmente por medio de los símbolos que puede ofrecer la religión. Son los símbolos más que los conceptos los que despiertan la fe, y la fe misma parece ser una capacidad innata y natural de los seres humanos, por el hecho de que Dios en realidad está allí, y que cuando niños han tenido un cierto sentido de unidad con todo lo que existe, aunque quizá haya sido completamente olvidado.
