To respond to every situation according to God’s will rather than our inclinations or our particular cultural inclinations, this is where the Gospel of John comes into strong focus with its spiritual perception of God’s presence and grace in all our senses and its activities and in our thinking and in our relating to other people. This, of course, is what interests people who feel called to transformation and to union with God – and even to unity with God which is a subject that is addressed in many of the world religions but is significant in the Christian mystical tradition as well.
Llamados a la Transformación
El responder a toda situación según la voluntad de Dios y no según nuestras inclinaciones o nuestras tendencias culturales es el foco del Evangelio de Juan, con su percepción espiritual de la presencia y gracia de Dios en todos nuestros sentidos y actividades y en nuestro pensamiento, y en la manera en la que nos relacionamos con los demás. Eso es, por supuesto, lo que interesa a aquellos que se sienten llamados a la transformación y a la unión con Dios – y aún a la unidad con Dios, que es un tema que abordan muchas de las religiones del mundo pero que es significativo también en la tradición mística cristiana.
