Source and Silence

Morning after morning the Lord opens my ear that I may hear.”
– Isaiah 50:4

Resting in the silence of meditative prayer is the royal road to hearing what can’t be said.

And what can’t be said is the wisdom of the living Word whose fullness is emptiness, and whose form is formless and whose diversity is oneness.

There is nothing special about people who meditate. But there is something very special about the silence and something beyond special about the ever present source of light and love hidden beneath the silence.

Source and Silence await more of humankind’s attention and intention to be still, listen and know.

Perhaps until then, much of our human patterns of suffering will recur.
