So, being aware of the self and of God is a kind of duality. And even in the Transforming Union, though this is a union of mind and heart, as well as body, in that unity of people we are still two. So, here is where we have to understand what love is. In the Christian tradition, love is the bottom line: Love God with your whole heart, mind, soul and strength, and your neighbor as yourself because the same God is in them and in us. So that all humans basically are equal in dignity and in their nature, and they’re also inserted now into the Mystical Body of Christ with a call to be, to serve, and to build-up the Body of Christ in various ways.
So, once you are baptized and in grace, you’re a living cell in a living body that has the Holy Spirit as the life blood. It fills the whole, every cell and, indeed, every particle of cells. And so, it was Teilhard de Chardin that says that every particle contains Jesus Christ. Since we are made up of trillions of them, we are really immersed in him and in God. You cannot get away from him. We are saturated, really, with God. We just have not been taught to see it this way, and science is contributing.

Estar consciente del yo y de Dios es una especie de dualidad. Y aún en la Unión Transformante, aunque esta sea una unión de la mente y el corazón, así como del cuerpo, en esa unidad todavía somos dos. Aquí es donde tenemos que comprender lo que es el amor. En la tradición cristiana, el amor es la conclusión final: ama a Dios con todo tu corazón, toda tu mente, toda tu alma y con todo tu poder, y a tu prójimo como a ti mismo, porque el mismo Dios está en ellos y en nosotros. Por lo que todos los seres humanos somos básicamente iguales en dignidad y en naturaleza, y también estamos insertos en el Cuerpo Místico de Cristo, llamados a ser, a servir y a construir el cuerpo de Cristo de diferentes maneras.
Una vez que somos bautizados y estamos en gracia, somos una célula viviente en un cuerpo viviente, que tiene al Espíritu Santo como la sangre que le da vida. Llena la totalidad, cada célula y, de hecho, cada partícula de cada célula. Fue Teilhard de Chardin el que dijo que cada partícula contiene a Jesucristo. Como estamos hechos de trillones de partículas estamos inmersos en Él y en Dios. No podemos escaparnos de Él. Estamos saturados, realmente, de Dios. Simplemente no se nos ha enseñando a verlo de este modo, y la ciencia contribuye a que así lo veamos.
