The love I felt for God in a very devotional way at the early part of my spiritual journey is not there in the same way. I think that I kind of lost a sense of relating to God outside which was kind of hard – a spiritual darkness – in order for God to come alive inside me. But, I’ve recaptured that love of God in a new way – or it’s recaptured me. But I find that the love of God comes alive in the moment with other people as long as I’m not thinking too much about myself.

El amor que sentía por Dios de un modo muy devocional en las primeras etapas de mi viaje espiritual ya no está presente del mismo modo. Creo que de algún modo dejé de sentir que me relacionaba con Dios afuera, lo que fue difícil – una oscuridad espiritual – para que Dios empezara a vivir en mi interior. Pero he recobrado ese amor a Dios de una nueva manera – o me ha recobrado a mí. Y veo que el amor de Dios vive en mí en el momento con otras personas siempre que no piense demasiado en mí mismo.
