I always feel the presence of other people when I’m praying and I think it’s taken me a long time to accept that God’s in me. But accepting that, I then see God in everybody else. I’m in a profession that is very adversarial so sometimes when I’m in a situation where the negotiations get tense, I try to remember that God is with the opposite person also and sometimes I actually say my sacred word and breathe in that space and it changes the dynamic. I try to get to a point of Yes. It serves me by calming me down in the busy, stressful world and I have to always remember: It’s not worth getting upset about. God’s with me always and that helps me with my medical problems. So, it benefits me to always remember that God’s with me.

Siempre siento la presencia de las otras personas cuando estoy orando, y creo que me ha llevado un largo tiempo aceptar que Dios está en mi. Pero aceptándolo, veo a Dios en todos los demás. Tengo una profesión que es muy conflictiva, y cuando a veces estoy en una situación en la que las negociaciones se tensan, trato de recordar que Dios está también en la persona que se me opone, y a veces hasta digo mi palabra sagrada y respiro en ese espacio, y cambia la dinámica. Trato de llegar al punto del Sí. Me sirve porque me calma en medio de ese mundo agitado y estresante, y siempre me recuerdo a mi misma que no vale la pena disgustarse por eso. Dios siempre está conmigo y me ayuda con los problemas de salud. Por eso me beneficia recordar siempre que Dios está conmigo.
