Centering Prayer has given me a profound sense that we are all part of something bigger than ourselves and this “something bigger” has been called the Mystical Body of Christ. I am a cell in the Great Body and there is a plan for the whole body and, therefore, one for me. And all I have to do is keeping saying Yes and consent. It’s transformed my spirituality and it’s transformed my faith and it’s given me – you might say – the ears to hear. And this is particularly manifested in the great love for Lectio Divina and how the practice of Lectio Divina coming from the practice of Centering Prayer has enabled Scripture to come alive for me in a very real, practical way.
