Centering Prayer has made a space for me to have trust that all will be well in terms of parenting. There are obvious difficulties in raising children and there’s a sense of not feeling prepared to do so and the Centering Prayer has given me the grace of knowing all will be well, that I just need to show-up. I need to be engaged and I need to be real and present and let God direct the program. Otherwise, it’s me steering. It’s me commanding what to do and saying what’s right and what’s wrong and, it’s taken a long time, but I’ve felt as a parent now practicing letting God be the parent and I’m just the one he comes through into the situation.
La Oración Centrante: brinda un espacio para la confianza en la crianza de los niños
La Oración Centrante me ha brindado un espacio para confiar en que me desempeñaré bien como padre. Existen obvias dificultades en la crianza de los niños y se experimenta la sensación de no estar preparado para ello, y la Oración Centrante me ha dado la gracia de saber que todo estará bien, y que solo necesito estar presente. Necesito comprometerme y necesito ser real y estar presente, y permitir que Dios dirija la programación. De otro modo soy yo el que la dirige. Soy yo el que ordena qué hacer y decide qué está bien y que está mal, y esto me ha llevado mucho tiempo, pero ahora como padre siento que practico el permitir que Dios sea el padre y que yo sea simplemente el instrumento para que El actué en la situación.
