In Prayer We Relax into Our Localized Energy

The Gift of Life: Death & Dying, Life & Living DVD set offers a vision of hope and a view of reality that counter the cultural norms that view death as a tragedy, or the end of living, or an entry into harsh judgment and retribution. These videos are out-takes from the video series and presented here for your enrichment. A new video will be presented every Monday.

Basically in contemplative prayer you’re taking your particular localized energy of the Ultimate Reality, just as you are, and letting go of all secondary things and are just being in the presence of that which is the most real part of one’s being.  And, some traditions call this the self, or the True Self, which is this presence of the infinite energy or creative energy of God manifesting in our particular form of creaturehood.  And so in prayer we just relax into who we already are.
