To accept sacrifice, that is, to give oneself totally away and surrender to God and to the welfare of the whole human family is death and actually involves real death for us and it also involves real death for the Word Made Flesh as we see in Christ’s passion and death. The Word of God sacrifices himself totally in returning to the Father and in becoming human he suffers immensely actual death because of his love of humanity.

Aceptar el sacrificio, es decir, darse totalmente a sí mismo y entregarse a Dios por el bien de toda la familia humana significa la muerte, y para nosotros realmente implica morir, y también implica la muerte real para la Palabra Hecha Carne, como vemos en la pasión y muerte de Cristo. La Palabra de Dios se sacrifica totalmente a sí mismo al volver al Padre, y al hacerse humano sufre inmensamente una muerte real por su amor a la humanidad
