Non-duality for the Christian is to be guided by the Spirit, not by one of the false selves or the ego.
So you have to let go of that, but also you are freeing some of these virtues to start functioning in daily life and the infused virtues are really the work of the Spirit, who spontaneously gets us to do what is right without even thinking about it. So, that is where effort would be a mistake, because we are so under the influence of the Spirit that effortless total receptivity is the best way to be open to God’s guidance. It is like being a container for God. So, for a container to be filled, what is the best response? Emptiness. Openness.
It is very simple, but very hard to do. All you have to do is nothing. Try it! But it does not mean you actually do nothing. It means that you are empty of all will but open to God’s actions, so that you do what he wants to do. Emptiness is not total nothingness, but emptiness with an openness to becoming more – by God’s will.

La no dualidad para los cristianos consiste en ser guiados por el Espíritu, no por uno de los falsos yoes o por el ego. Por lo tanto tenemos que dejar ir eso, pero a la vez estamos liberando algunas de estas virtudes para comenzar a funcionar en la vida diaria, y las virtudes infusas son en realidad la obra del Espíritu, que espontáneamente nos hace hacer lo que es correcto sin ni siquiera tener que pensarlo. Ahí es donde esforzarnos sería un error, porque estamos en tal medida bajo la influencia del Espíritu que la total receptividad sin esfuerzo alguno es la mejor manera de estar abierto a la guía de Dios. Es como ser un contenedor para Dios. Entonces, para que un contenedor sea llenado, ¿cuál sería la mejor respuesta? Estar vacío. Estar abierto.
Es muy simple pero difícil de hacer. Lo único que hay que hacer es no hacer nada. ¡Inténtenlo! Pero no quiere decir que realmente no hagan nada. Quiere decir que estemos vacíos de toda voluntad más que la de abrirnos a la acción de Dios, de modo que hagamos lo que Él quiera hacer. Estar vacíos no significa la nada, sino un vacío y una apertura a volvernos más – por voluntad de Dios.
