Wisdom Begins in Wonder and Awe
September 26, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm$30
There are two books of scripture: Nature and the Bible. The wonder of creation demands and teaches us to see and believe that everything is a miracle and calls us into mystery, awe, silence, and surrender to the vastness beyond oneself. Per Richard Rohr, “Creation is our first and final cathedral. Nature is the one song of praise that never stops singing.” Being present to the wonder and awe in nature awakens the mind, triggers curiosity and transforms the isolated self into the integrated, contemplative self. The topic will explore the scientific evidence that nature is transformative and healing for a society with nature deprivation disorder and technology driven narcissism. Integration of nature in daily life is a research proven well-being skill and a contemplative practice.
