The Process of Forgiveness: A Workshop via Zoom

March 13, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

$50.00

9am – noon Central Time.

Offered online via Zoom.

Forgiveness is at the heart of the Christian tradition. Jesus called us to forgive—not only our friends but our enemies as well. Most of us are aware of this dimension of the gospel but are forced to acknowledge that we do not forgive: We have festering wounds in our psyches and in our relationships.

In this workshop we will consider different dimensions of the call to forgive—from a consideration of classic texts to the psychic dynamics of forgiveness. Most importantly, we will learn a practice that opens us to the reality of forgiveness.

This practice comes through Contemplative Outreach, a spiritual organism founded by Thomas Keating.

The Rev. Tom Ward is the retired university chaplain at the University of the South and now spends his days focusing on the contemplative dimension of the gospel, teaching Centering Prayer, and leading retreats.
