Introductory Wisdom School Part A:    A Wisdom Way of Knowing

This Introductory Wisdom School will set the foundation for the importance of wisdom schools in our era. Using Cynthia Bourgeault’s e-course teachings, together we will explore our three centers of intelligence, the Rule of St. Benedict, and the Wisdom tradition as the Way of the Heart so that we might show up in the world as more conscious planetary servants.

Heather, Catherine, and Joy will facilitate the integration of Cynthia’s transmissions and invite a ‘wisdom way of knowing’ through a daily rhythm of periods of video teaching from Cynthia, Centering Prayer, mindful work, mindful movement, sharing, and contemplative free time.

Facilitators:

Heather Ruce, M.A. is a spiritual director and meditation teacher. She leads monthly Wisdom Practice Circles desiring to help others wake up to a different kind of presence. She has been trained as a therapist and in a mindfulness and somatic based approach to trauma healing.

Catherine Regan, Ph.D. is a spiritual director, clinical psychologist, and Centering Prayer coordinator at Mercy Center. She has a special interest in contemplative practices and the benefits of these practices in our individual and collective lives at this time in our world.

Joy Andrews Hayter, Ph.D. is a spiritual director dedicated to fostering Centering Prayer and other contemplative practices that help us become aware of God's ever-present love. As a scientist, she sees in the physical world an expression of that love.
